ABOUT US

Xplorer Maps creates the finest hand-drawn and hand-lettered illustrations of national parks, historical sites, and favorite travel destinations around the globe. Every line, letter, and icon is unique, custom, and original to each new map we render. In an antique, old-world style, these high-quality custom maps were created by artist/co-founder Chris Robitaille in honor of the earliest cartographers. Our Maps have a few main differences from other "map companies" or "map products" on the market. First, everything we do is 100% custom and original art; no public domain art or computer-generated graphics. Everything we create is hand-drawn using pen and ink and watercolors. Secondly, National Park Service interpretive specialists verify all of our fine-art illustrations as educationally and interpretively valuable, culturally relevant, and historically and geographically accurate. And lastly, all our original hand-drawn maps are fully copyrighted and trademarked.

This hand-drawn, custom and ORIGINAL illustrated map is the result of a year-long collaborative partnership between Xplorer Maps and the Catalina Island Conservancy.
