How To Tape Your Walls For Painting - Painters tape can help you get crisper lines and avoid accidentally getting paint on parts of the room you didn’t mean to. - Cut with scissors for cleaner edge. - Press with thumb or spoon to prevent paint from leaking underneath. - Pull off at right angle.	How To Prep For Painting - Fill holes and cracks with drywall compound or spackle and sand after dried. - Remove dust from walls and wipe down walls with diluted dishwashing liquid to clean if needed. - Let dry. - Remove outlet covers and switch plates.	Should I Use A Roller Or A Brush? - 2.5 inch angled brush for trim and precision work. - Roller for flat, smooth surfaces and larger areas.	The 'W' Method - When painting your room, get that professional look by using the 'W' technique to ensure a consistent finish. - Dip roller and roll back and forth about 20 times on rigid part of tray. - Work in 3ft square sections starting from corner in ceiling. - Spread in W pattern and fill in with continuous rolling.
