Creativity + Role Play Creativity is the ability to think outside the box – and what better way to hone this skill than to hand a child a blank canvas to play with! Crafting new pieces of artwork requires kids to think creatively and with an open mind, string ideas together in new ways and use creative solutions to solve problems.

Esteem + Self Expression When we encourage children to explore art, we encourage them to express themselves! Art provides a unique environment where it is safe to experiment and create, where questions are invited and new ideas are celebrated. Regular access to this type of environment helps kids feel more confident and comfortable with their creativity as they grow.

Visual Skills + Memory Painting, drawing and sculpting are great ways to develop visual-spatial skills in young children. With every brush stroke, kids analyze what they see and make choices based on that visual information. Over time, these visual-spatial skills will go on to help your child read maps, follow dance moves and even solve math problems.

Physical + Motor Skills Gripping a paint brush, drawing dots, mixing colors or squeezing a glue bottle all require physical dexterity and coordination. Practicing these motions often is a great way to fine-tune motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
