Rust Kutter is a balanced formula that causes rust to chemically change to phosphate. A coat of paint attaches itself so closely to the metal that moisture and oxygen cannot attack the surface, resulting in a much longer paint job.
Remove any loose rust with a wire brush or wire wheel. Rust must be present for product to work.
Spray or paint on Rust Kutter.
Rinse & let dry. Dry conditions & low humidity should allow for a 24 hour drying time.
Brush off any loose residue. You can repaint from here or leave area as is.
Rust Kutter stops the oxidation process to prevent further rusting. Stop even the toughest rusting on ferrous metals, tools, farm equipment, railings, lawn furniture and truck beds.
Where can I use Rust Kutter?
Rust Kutter is for use on metal surfaces that have rusted, such as: car bodies, metal tools and outdoor equipment. This is not meant for surfaces that exceed 220 degrees Fahrenheit.
How do I apply Rust Kutter?
Rust Kutter can be used with a brush, roller, or spray gun, depending on the size and complexity of the surface being treated. See label for more in depth step-by-step instructions.
Do I have to paint the surface after using Rust Kutter?
Painting is not required. Painting the surface after Rust Kutter application will likely prolong the protection from rust later on.
Are there temperature restrictions when using Rust Kutter?
We recommend using Rust Kutter when temperatures are between 50-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Rust Kutter is not intended for surfaces that will reach over 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
