Jones-Sports Eyebolts are Drop Forged and Hot Dipped Galvanized. Drop forged Eyebolts have a higher tensile strength making them stronger, and less likely to fracture than the formed Eyebolts. What’s the Difference between Hot Dipped Galvanized & Electroplated galvanized? The majority of the Eyebolts sold are electroplated which is less expensive to manufacture but has a much thinner coating process. Hot dipped Galvanized coatings are up to 10x as thick and will always greatly outlast zinc electroplating in any environment.
