There's a BIG difference: Car Cooler vs Car Freezer !

--- Electric Cooler operates by constantly running a fan to lower the interior's temperature. It will cool as fast or slow as the outside ambient temperature. What that means is that if it's hot outside, it'll take a very long time to get the inside down to 57℉. If it is cold outside, it will reach 51℉ faster and more consistently.

--- Car Freezer have a built-in compressor just like a fridge at home. It can take the inside from 77℉ ambient temperature down to 40℉ in 20 -25 mins, then to freezing temps of 32℉ or below after another 15 -20 mins. Unlike Electric Coolers, the car freezer does not need to have its compressor running all the time either. They simply stop once the desired temp is reached, then turns on again after a threshold temperature differential is surpassed.

--- Electric Cooler:

- Can cool down to 55℉, if it is not too hot outside. This is why ice cubes cannot be placed in the electric cooler, because it is not a refrigerator, its cooling temperature is much higher than 0 degrees , and ice cubes will melt quickly.

- Fan needs to constantly run to maintain temperature.

- Cannot set temperature. It's usually just Cold or Hot.

- Easier to carry around the park or beach for a picnic. a car freezer tends to be heavier and larger.

- Can cool to any desired temperature between -20℉ and 60℉

- Cannot heat things. It's designed to cool or freezer like a home refrigerator

- Compressor and fan only run until desired temp is reached, taking up less power overall.

1. This cooler cannot replace a fridge. So if you need a fridge better go buy a fridge.

2. It keeps food or drinks cool enough if you don’t jam pack the inside of the bag. one strategy is to keep some space between items inside so air can circulate for it to cool.
