WW2 - Pacific War The Pacific Ocean theater, during World War II, was a major theater of the war between the Allies and the Empire of Japan. Japanese forces fought primarily against the United States Navy, the U.S. Army who had 6 Corps and 21 Divisions, U.S. Marine Corps who had only 6 Divisions. The United Kingdom (British Pacific Fleet), New Zealand, Australia, Canada and other Allied nations also contributed forces.	6 original coins This collection of 6 coins is a reflection of the territories that participated in some way in the Pacific War. From Australia, an active country that fought alongside the Allies, to a coin from the Japanese Empire. Also included are two coins representing the British Empire, British India and Malaya, as well as a coin from the Dutch East Indies. Finally, the jewel of the collection, 1 Fen from Manchukuo, a puppet state of the Empire of Japan from 1932 until 1945.	Countries in the Collection Australia: 1 Penny (1939-45) - British India: 1/4 Anna (1938-42) - Japan: 10 Sen (1944) - Malaya: 1 Cent (1939-41) - Manchukuo: 1 Fen (1945) - Dutch East Indies: 1/2 Cent (1945)	Special Mintages Manchukuo, 1 fen 1945: This coin was issued in a red fiber material, owning to a severe shortage of metal towards the end of World War II. This coin was in circulation in Manchukuo until the Soviet invasion of Manchuria and the surrender of Imperial Japan, ending both the war and the self-declared state's existence.
