Heirlooms are varieties that have been purposely bred, selected and passed down from generation to generation. They are wholesome picks that will breed true to the parent seed every time.	Flowers will attract all sorts of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees, honeybees and ladybugs.

Grow Bellflower Superba from fresh Campanula glomerata flower seeds. Bellflower Superba will produce beautiful, deep violet colored blooms that span 1 to 2 inches wide. Each plant reaches a mature height of 16 to 20 inches tall and spreads 8 to 12 inches wide. Bellflower Superba is grown as a perennial flowering plant, meaning it will establish a deep root system. The plants will wilt during the frost, later returning the following year.

Bellflower Superba is known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden. These include many various butterflies & caterpillars, as well as bumblebees, ladybugs and hummingbirds as well. It can be used as a cut flower in many bouquets and floral arrangements and is also popularly used as a groundcover plant because of its short growth habit.

Sowing The Seed Although it's easier to establish Bellflower Superba in peat pots, we recommend choosing a calm day to sow these seeds directly outdoors. Choose a spot that you want to cover, removing all unwanted plant life from the sowing area. Scatter the tiny seeds directly to the surface of the soil, allowing them to receive direct sunlight. Do not cover the seeds as they require light to properly germinate.	Growing Conditions Place your Bellflower Superba seeds in an area that receives full sunlight in cooler climates and partial shade in warmer climates. Keep temperatures at around 65F to 75F and provide them with a sandy, chalky loam. To increase drainage, we recommend adding a light compost to areas containing hard, compact soil. Water daily with a mist setting so that the seeds are not disturbed when watered.	Germination & Growth Your seeds will begin to germinate within 7 to 14 days after sowing. The plants will reach a mature height of around 16 to 20 inches tall and 8 to 12 inches wide. The plants can be spaced about 8 to 12 inches apart from one another. Bellflower Superba produces mounds of attractive, deep violet colored flowers in the form of a groundcover.
