House your favorite potted plant in style
CHIVE INC was established over 15 years ago and they currently design and sell over 200 planters of varying sizes, colours, and materials.
In addition to all these cool planters, they make thousands of glass and ceramic flower vases and other fun home decorations.
They are a small company of 11 people based in Toronto, New York, Atlanta and London UK and I am thrilled to offer on my Amazon page just a small selection of their catalog, my personal favourites and the best of their best!
Planter pots with a good design are hard to find. With a soft, organic looking lip on both the pot and saucer and the all important drainage hole Big Tika is both stylish and functional.
These colorful pots are generously sized so that your plant, bloom, or succulent has space to grow and thrive..
Room to Breath
Drainage holes allow water in the soil to drain freely so adequate air is available for the roots.
While a plant may grow in a pot with no holes, water may build up making the soil soggy, which can lead to root rot.
Easy Access to Excess Water
Drainage of excess water is vital for the health of plant roots.
Being able to quickly and easily remove any unnecessary water will help keep your plants happy and healthy for much longer.
Form and Function
Why sacrifice design for plant care when you can have both? An 8" pot is an all-purpose size for all your houseplant needs and more often than not the options for these size pots are limited. Chive excels at designing containers that keep your plants healthy while also looking good in your house.
Choose your favorite plant. We love succulents! Pick your plant based on its color, size and texture and what will look best in the planter. Give it a home with an indirect light source and that isn’t too cold or drafty. And don’t over water it, once a week is enough for most environments.
1. Pots with a drainage hole will you save work. If your pot has drainage hole skip this step now; however if your pot doesn’t start with a layer of drainage rock on the bottom, then a layer of horticultural charcoal.
2. Pick the proper soil succulent/cacti soil or tropical soil or regular potting mix.
3. Make a hole in the dirt and gently place your plant inside. Succulents have dainty little roots so you’ll want to gently loosen the existing soil from them before planting, and gently cover them with the new soil, gently pressing the soil down over them.
4. Pick a spot to display and Enjoy!
