This oval disc cutter is a 3" steel hardened machined and honed block that comes with 7 hardened steel punches ranging from 4x6mm to the largest 16x18mm (Width and Height)
The punches are oil-quenched tool steel that has been drawn for hardness and durability and machined flat and smooth at the cutting end to create perfect oval blanks every time, the end of the punches are all beveled for use with a heavy mallet or dead hammer.
This disc cutter is made to be used in Jewelry making, for cutting precious metals.
The capacity of the cutter will cut up to 16 - 14 gauge metal.
NOTE: We recommend that the metal be annealed (Softened) and utilizing some oil to prolong the life of the edges.
It is best to use a rubber mat or block to ease the cutting process.
