Learn More About Landscape Lighting To Create Your Ideal landscape
What You Need for Installation?
1. Low Voltage Transformer (Not included in this set)
Low voltage transformer is used to convert the standard home line voltage (usually 110 volts) to a low voltage (usually 12 or 24 volts).
2. Low Voltage Long Wire (Not included in this set)
For low voltage landscape lighting, 14 or 16 gauge wire with 2 strands is recommended.
3. Low Voltage Wire Connector (Included 16 wire connectors in this set)
The wire connectors are used to connect the two short wire strands that extend from each light to the long wire.
How to Choose the Low Voltage Transformer?
1. Calculate the total wattage of all light fixtures in your plan.
2. Select a transformer sufficient to support the total wattage required. A capacity utilization of 80% or less is recommended.
For example: 8 pack 5W landscape lights, the total wattage is 40W. Then recommend to choose the transformer higher than 50W(=40W/0.8)
What Could Cause The All Lights Blinking or Dim?
Insufficient power can cause the lights to flicker or dim, if this occurs check that the transformer has enough power to operate the connected lights.
