1. Does it need a neutral wire? How do I know if I have a neutral wire?
Yes, it needs a neutral wire.
The best way to find out is to check the actual wire in the switch box. The neutral wire is usually white, but it can be other colors.
If there is a multi-bin switch, it is much more likely to have a neutral wire.
If there is a wall outlet near the switch, there is a good chance that switch box has a neutral wire.
If your house was built in the mid-1980s or later, it is highly likely that you have a neutral wire in the box.
2. What is the difference between a single-pole switch, a dimmer switch, and a three-way switch?
A single-pole switch is designed to turn a light on/off in only one place, but does not control light brightness.
A dimmer switch is designed to turn the light on/off in one place only, in addition, it can control the fan speed or light brightness.
Three-way switches are designed to turn lights on/off in two places, but cannot control speed or brightness. The three-way switch can also be used as a single-pole switch.
3. I have a dual wifi router, how do I use it?
This smart switch only needs 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, not for 5Ghz.
If it only broadcasts 1 signal, you need to go to Wi-Fi management, create a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal first, select it and enter the password.
If it broadcasts both signals, the 5G signal will be ignored. You just need to select 2.4Ghz WIFI and enter the password.
