Where do the olives used to make the oil come from?
Bragg Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is 100% pure organic, unrefined, extra virgin olive oil imported from Greece. Our olive oil is made from organic Koroneiki olives grown and harvested in regions including Sparta, Corinth, and the Island of Crete.
What is the smoke point on Bragg Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
The smoke point on Bragg oil is 374-405°F. It is naturally high in monounsaturated Oleic Acid, making our olive oil ideal for sautéing, baking, stir frying, drizzling, and use in salad dressings.
Does Bragg olive oil have polyphenols?
There are many environmental factors that affect phenolic content levels in olives. It varies with harvest, location, weather, etc. and factors such as storage temperature, time, etc. The levels analyzed in 2023 varied from 360 to 479 mg/kg.
What are polyphenols?
Polyphenols are compounds in plants produced as responses to their environment and help fight biotic and abiotic stressors (ex. sunlight or temperature changes). There are clinical studies relating polyphenols and protection against free-radicals.
