Can these bulbs be used in outdoor fixtures with frosted glass?
QUALILUX Dusk-to-Dawn light sensing bulbs can work perfectly in outdoor fixtures with frosted glass because QUALILUX D2D bulbs can distinguish their own light from other lights based on QUALILUX unique D2D technology. Some Dusk-to-Dawn light bulbs cannot be used in such fixtures because the light reflected by frosted glass will trigger their Dusk-to-Dawn sensor to turn off the light.
Would QUALILUX Dusk to Dawn light bulbs work in a canister type fixture?
Yes, they would. QUALILUX Dusk to Dawn light bulbs has a built-in light sensor which is arranged with LED chips together. The angle it senses sunlight is wide as same as the light bulb emits light. But the light bulbs in canister fixture may light up earlier than using in other open light fixtures. Because canister light fixture will block out sunlight. Most of the light bulbs which has a sensing eye/hole on the body cannot use in the canister light fixture because such enclosed light fixture completely blocks the sensor to sense the sunlight.
Why does QUALILUX set the power consumption of their Dusk to Dawn light bulbs to be reduced by half after working for 6 hours? No other brand has this function.
People are asleep and require less light after an Outdoor Dusk to Dawn sensor light working for 6 hours. To be more friendly to our planet, QUALILUX set this function on their Dusk to Dawn light bulbs. Even so, the bulbs will keep around 70% brightness after working 6 hours. This still provide good security functions for your house.
